In this spoken devotional, the presenter offers a heartfelt nighttime prayer that places all worries, unanswered questions, and burdens into God’s hands before sleep. The prayer asks the Lord to go before the speaker, watch over the home, guard every doorway, room, and loved one, and prevent any disturbance from taking root. It seeks divine clarity where there has been confusion, rest where there has been heaviness, and movement where there has been delay. The speaker declares that fear and anxiety will not dominate the night, that past troubles will not follow into tomorrow, and affirms that God continues to work, protect, and make a way. The prayer emphasizes that the One who watches over us never sleeps, and the speaker rests under God’s covering, trusting that the next morning will bring renewed confidence in God’s presence throughout the night. The prayer concludes in the name of Jesus.

Father, as this day comes to an end, I place everything into your hands— every worry, every unanswered question, every burden I was never meant to carry through the night. Lord, go before me even while I sleep. Stand watch over this home, cover my family, guard every doorway, every room, and every person I love. Let nothing sent to disturb my peace take root here. Where there has been confusion, bring clarity. Where there has been heaviness, bring rest. Where something has been delayed, begin moving what I cannot see. And where I have done everything I know to do, remind my spirit that I do not have to force what you have already placed in your hands. Tonight, I declare that fear will not have the final word. Anxiety will not rule this night. Yesterday will not follow me into tomorrow. God is still working. God is still protecting. God is still making a way. And while I sleep, the One who watches over me does not sleep. He who watches over you will not slumber. So tonight, I rest beneath the covering of God. And when morning comes, I will rise, knowing that He was with me through every hour of the night. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
