My name is Mats. I can do that over if it didn't— if it was— Hi, my name is Mats Hemphill. I am a photographer and founder and CEO of Ascension, a vegan skincare company that is rooted in physical and spiritual wellness. So yeah, beautiful. At Ascension, I wear all the hats. I do marketing, creative direction. This is the give. And photography. Beautiful, beautiful. I am a creative first and a business person second. I think I've always had an interest in beauty subconsciously. The skincare industry really focused on the outer, and I really wanted to focus on the inner. I wanted to create something that was inclusive, effective, and really great for the environment. We bring very sacred practices and charge our rosewater and our serum with a specific frequency. 7.83 hertz is the Earth's frequency. It heals the body at a molecular level, especially our activated charcoal.
Whenever someone uses the product, they're like, oh my God, it healed my skin in like a day. It's very rewarding how happy they are with their skin.
The feedback that I get from my email campaigns is always amazing. Squarespace gives me freedom to create the website that I want for Ascension to reach people on a massive scale. For anyone looking to start a business, I think the most important advice that I would give is to not compare yourself to other people. Just focus on what you can create in this moment of now.
