Sue Warnke explains how Perplexity AI recommends consultants. The engine favors listicle-style content like "best of" posts and comparison articles, so consultants should publish pieces that detail their methodology, specialties, and what sets them apart.
Consultants, did you know Perplexity AI recommends people in your category more than any other AI tool? And it has a very specific preference for how it finds you. That's through listicle content, things like best of posts, comparison articles, and how to choose guides. When someone asks Perplexity to recommend a consultant, it goes straight to that kind of content. So if something that explains your methodology, your specialty, and what makes you different doesn't exist on your site, Perplexity has nothing to reference. Write the comparison post, position yourself within your category. That's how Perplexity finds you.
