Chapters
I am so sorry in advance that you guys have to witness this. I'm coming to you from the most perfect place on earth, and I'm actually going to be talking about this topic of abundance. And I really feel like one of those that you see on the internet being like, if you want to live a life like this, this is all you got to do. But I do have some really important points to share for you guys on how I went from this. Right now is probably one of the most financially challenging times. I am 28 years old as of 2 weeks ago and I am heavily depressed. To this, to being like a total baller, traveling a lot, having the most amazing experiences, and making a really solid income from doing what I love. It kind of annoys me when I hear these videos because often it's cute little quotes and motivational speeches instead of the detail of what it takes to go from where you are to where you want to be. So this video is about the small tiny details because if you overlook the detail, it's not gonna work. Uh, for this video For this video, I'm partnering up with Squarespace, who are a humongous reason as to why I live the life that I do today. It seems a bit outrageous and far-fetched, but it's actually true. More on that later. For anyone who is trying to take their ideas or dreams to the next level, or anyone entering some kind of transition period in your life, I want to be able to help you to enter that next chapter, and Squarespace allows you to do that. This video is for high school students entering college, college students about to graduate and apply for their first job, or someone entering a career transition. I want to give you an example of how marketing and Squarespace Together gave me this dream life. So, circa back to 2016, a travel competition launches. Job description: travel to 12 luxurious homes around the world for three months and get paid $10,000 a month to document the experience. There was my ticket out of hell. The next step was to create a one-minute submission video to show off why I am great for this job. Once you create whoa! Once you create that video submission, then just email it in, right? If I pour my heart out and tell them how much I love this job and how much I want to have this job, and I'm perfect. Hold up, no. At any one time, anyone applying for a dream job or trying to get a client if you're a freelancer, there's a lot of people applying for these jobs. Simplicity and professionalism is what I put it down to. Step number 1, this was my email that I wrote to them. And the link in that email, this is where it led to. On this Squarespace website, you can see I have my submission video, extra videos underneath to show that I really know what I'm doing and this isn't my first rodeo. The website was simple, professional, and beautifully presented. My photography was displayed to show my skills in that area. Articles and features attached to show off extra skills. How is this relevant to you? If you are serious about building a beautiful life for yourself, websites is where it's at. Period. I've been building websites for over ten years now, and over five years ago, before there was any partnership with Squarespace, I switched over to this platform because of the ease of use and the beauty of it. Simple, cheeky drag and drop, which means you can update your website anytime to reflect your brand new skills that you've acquired or your new stage of life that you're going through. Because I do want to point out that I have changed my website about myself personally of who I am as I've been building my career. I've changed it so many times. It has shifted and molded as I grow. If you're scared to build a website from the get-go because you don't know what you're gonna put on it, it has to grow as you grow. Flexibility of life is key. So what does a great website have? It has an about page, contact us, social links, portfolio, as featured in, and any relevant work. Obviously, you can add more or less depending on what you have to offer and what stage of your career development you are at, but these are the basics and most important aspects Having a website controls what shows up when someone Googles you and allows you to take control of your personal narrative. Think of yourself as a freaking humongous billionaire brand. Do you think you would be just using a crappy URL here and there, scattering all your information out on social media? No! A successful brand has a central hub, always. If you want to be a successful brand, You need a central hub. All right, it's time for you to shine, baby. I want you to go away and take the time to create a website. And at the end of every month starting June, July, for about two three months, we're going to come back to this video and I want to see in the comments below your URLs, your professional websites, and I'm going to be giving feedback. I don't know why I'm saying that I'm going to do this because it's going to be a lot of work, but I really want to help you guys because this has changed my life. I've said this. Time and time and again, if you want to stand out, you have to do things that others aren't willing to do. And I still can't believe how few people actually have set up websites for themselves. Whether you're looking for a normal career or you're looking to create your own business, without this, you're just screwing yourself over. So congratulations for still being here in this video and being one of the few people that are willing to go out there and really try to make this life a dream instead of surrendering to everything that is happening. Furthermore, if you have any questions about website setup, Squarespace has a 24/7 award-winning customer service. So if you have any questions about how to create this or how to put anything together from what I've shown you, you can just email them through and they'll be coming back to you giving you that information. It's so simple these days compared to what I used to do to build websites. Oh my God. Oh, the ease of it. Extremely excited for you to be going into this next chapter. Yes, it might be so scary, but brace yourself. You are okay. It is the unknown, but it is going to be beautiful if you Take the right steps. Here is my Instagram and Twitter if you'd like to see more, and until next time, guys. Peace. Yes.
