Mm. Uh-oh. This is Dean Chris Anthony. Hello. Hi. Welcome to my world. I make rugs, music, and I make clothing. I take trash, turn it into treasure. Rugs. I one day saw a rug cascading down a set of stairs. Ouch. And it blew my mind. I didn't understand how it was made. I found out the technique, and I saw that actually looks pretty simple, and I wonder if it could go this way. So this— this is the drawing. I call these my dopey dudes. And I like the idea of taking something simple that I drew and making it come to life. Right now, I'm tufting a rug. This is where I fill in the space with S's. And that's so that you don't see these grids. It just evens the rug and makes it look nice and clean. You know, to be honest, it doesn't matter where you go. It's just having fun. The goal is just to make as many dopey dudes as possible and one day do a big show and everyone could come and run all over them. Check this out. Clothing. I source a lot of things from rag houses here in LA. They have an older selection of things from the '50s and the '60s, and it just has that character. It's what it is about clothing that I, I love is I, I get to put something on and I get transported somewhere. Someone wore this piece and then they threw it in the trash because they didn't want it, and I get to resurrect that idea, give a new meaning to it. I'm really excited to make this one. It's a simple concept, basically just a pair of sweats that I just wanted to add a little flavor to. So I got this sherpa fabric that I found. In the trash. I just cut a shape around and, and it needs something more, so I thought I'll put a little yellow drawstring. It's all about beauty. It's all about simplicity. And that's exactly what my website is with Squarespace. I take a photo, edit it, upload it, put a price, someone buys it, and I ship it. Music? I've been making music since I was a kid, and I moved to LA in 2017, and that's when life started for me. There's effects! Amazing! Woo! This is where I spend most of my time. This is my home. These are, you know, synthesizers from the '80s, from the '90s, drum machines, synths, modular gear. This is where I create, and really it starts with the drums. This is a computer from the early '90s, and a lot of dance music was made on it. I put in samples in this card, they're uploaded in, and as you can see, I hit play. Nice little drum beat, right? And then I add some chords in. Whoa. Nice and moody. Some vocal samples. There's some bass. I'll start there. Where I want to go next, you know, music led me to clothing, and clothing led me to rugs, and now rugs have led me to bowling. Bowling is all I want to do moving forward. I'm going to be the best bowler and so stylish doing it. I'm thankful to be here. I'm thankful to make art because in the end, that's what matters is creating. If you're stuck and you don't know where to go, try to go here and just think about what your heart's telling you and then just do that and it'll never lead you astray. Just follow your heart and have a great day. That's all that matters is have a great day. This is Diego Crusader. Yeah, boy! Have a great day.
