Instrument, a Portland design studio, built their website on Squarespace's CMS with a custom front-end, letting them iterate fast and control every pixel while keeping content management simple.

Instrument is a digital creative studio in Portland, Oregon. We are producers, designers, engineers, strategists, and filmmakers, and we come here every day to collaborate, make messes, and figure things out. We design and build products. We concept and produce campaigns too. And we build platforms that connect brands to their audience.
We're always looking for tools that allow us to move quickly, to push ideas forward, showing rather than telling.
We've been using Squarespace for years, and as we've realized what it can do, we've started recommending it to clients on larger, more complex projects. So when we started to think about how to build instrument.com, we knew it was the right tool for the job. We didn't start with a template. We used the CMS and wrote a custom front end that hooks up to it, which allowed us to design the site exactly how we wanted it, but also let us prototype along the way.
Instrument.com is the one place that really can define who we are. We're Instrument, and this is our Squarespace.
