Wix has more templates to browse, but Squarespace curates a smaller collection where each one is professionally designed and vetted for quality. Your template choice shapes your whole site, so starting with a strong one matters.

When it comes to templates, more doesn't always mean better. Wix has a large, browsable library. Squarespace has a curated one. And that distinction matters. When a template library is curated, every option has been reviewed for quality, consistency, and visual impact. The filtering has already been done for you. Squarespace templates are designed to be adapted to any use case— for example, a photographer, a restaurant owner, a consultant, or a retailer. They're starting points built by designers, not just design adjacent. Whichever platform you choose, the template you start with shapes everything that comes after. Make sure it's one worth building on. Start building with a template that's actually worth your time. Free trial at squarespace.com.
