A tutoring site with 30 focused pages got 887 AI citations, while Reddit's 4,000 pages averaged just 2.4 per page. AI search rewards specificity: each page should address one subject or student type in depth, not broad coverage.

Tutors, being specific with your content matters, and here's why. From a Squarespace study of over 1 million AI citations, a small tutoring site with just 30 pages pulled 887 AI citations. That's 29 citations per page. Reddit, on the other hand, with over 4,000 pages in the same category, pulled just 2.4 citations per page. The smaller site won because every page went deep on one specific thing. One subject, one type of student, one question answered really well. You don't need a massive website. You need pages that are specific. So if you're a solo tutor or a small tutoring practice, you don't need to publish hundreds of pages. Focus on the subjects you actually teach, the students you actually work with, and go deep on each one. Fewer, better pages. That's what AI rewards.
