There will be times when you may prefer to upload an individual image, or you may want to arrange a group of images spread along a page. In these cases, adding an image block is the way to go. To start, navigate to your Pages panel and choose a page. In the page content, click Edit, then select an insert point and choose the Image block. Click the image uploader and choose your image. Or simply drag your image into the uploader. If you don't already have an image to use, click the Search Images button to find free stock images through Unsplash.
Or click on the Premium button to view pictures that can be purchased through Getty Images. For this video, we'll use one of our own images.
To display the image at the full width of the block, click on the Design tab and click Stretch. Enabling the lightbox will have the image display with a black background when clicked. Click-through URLs can turn the image into a link, but they will only work when the lightbox is disabled. So we'll uncheck that option for now. We'll link this image to the Portfolio page. Captions are a great way to display an artist's name, give credit to someone, or display the image title. We can write a caption when we click below our image. To change the look of the caption, let's click Edit to return to our Image Block Editor. Click on Design and click the dropdown menu and select the position you like. Let's go ahead and choose Caption Overlay for this image. If we decide we want to try a different image, we can change the image without removing the block.
Simply upload the new one, then hit Save. Let us know if you have any questions. We're always here to help.
