It’s a street-interview segment with an interviewer and several passersby (multiple speakers) in Asheville, North Carolina (the clip also references Nashville). The participants discuss life insurance — who has policies, motivations for buying (protecting loved ones, advice from a parent, covering student loans), barriers (cost, discomfort discussing death), and practical details promoted by Quility (get a policy in ~10 minutes; policies from about $18/month).

We are out here on the streets today of Asheville, North Carolina, to ask people all things life and life insurance. While the digital way to secure life insurance is new, the need for it is not. Let's see if strangers agree and see just how much they know about life insurance. Do you have life insurance?
I actually do have life insurance.
Do you have a. Do you have a family as well?
No, I don't have an immediate family now, but I have life insurance for the purposes of. I don't want to leave anybody with a bill.
Do you guys have life insurance?
I don't.
You do not?
You know, I honestly don't know. I did with my job, but then we moved here and I don't know if my husband ever got life insurance.
What motivated you to get life insurance?
It could provide money for all of my nieces and nephews to go to college if I ever died.
How long have you had life insurance?
Probably about almost six months.
Oh, so recently?
It's recent.
So what made you want to just make that change and try to look into life insurance?
Fatherly advice from Pops, basically.
You know, so he's like, hey, you should look into this.
You should get. Absolutely. He did.
You had something you wanted to protect and you're like, this will help protect what's important to me.
Well, that and I have a lot of student loan debt, so if I pass away tomorrow, my family gets nothing. But when you can name a beneficiary on your life insurance, you can make sure your family gets something regardless of the debt you have.
What do you think keeps people from jumping into, like, looking into life insurance? Like, why do people put it off?
What kept me was just the expense.
You know, people don't like to talk about death. I did estate planning for a good amount of time. When you make them realize that, the conversation is easier when you're alive than it is to have after mom just passed away, then suddenly they kind of get the point.
Before you got life insurance, like, did you have a idea of how much you thought it was, like, what the impression was for, like, per month or anything?
No, Absolutely. I didn't have no idea.
With Quilty, you can get 10 minutes or less online.
10 minutes, that's pretty quick.
How much, if you had to guess, does life insurance cost, like, month to month?
$50 a month? I don't know.
That's fair. That's a good guess. You can get a policy for as low as $18 a month. That. Yeah. No, it's 18 do. So here at Quility, we're all about making life insurance less prickly and the hard topics easier to talk about. Thank you so much for your time. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day here in Nashville.
