I don't know, man. I always say I'm high energy. I don't know if I can keep up with you, man. Look at you. You got me all fired up just on your introduction. Boy, come back, man. Just start like, you know, popping, jumping in like this, like, let's go. How are you, sir? Great to be on.
Fantastic, man. Hey, I know the amazing, beautiful human being you are. Introduce yourself to the Daniel Gomez Inspire show, please. Nate.
Well, I'm Nate Offert. Nice to meet all y'. All. What was it? I think it was John Maxwell said, like, he was at one of our events and he was backstage and they said, so how do you want us to introduce you? He goes, I don't care. He's like, what do you mean? He's like, well, if you give me a really good introduction, I suck. I'm still gonna suck. He's like, if you don't give me an introduction at all and I rock the house, then I'm still gonna rock the house. So call me John. I'm your friend. If you ever see John Maxwell. I was fortunate to be backstage. I was like, that's, that was pretty awesome. That's pretty awesome. So I don't have a big introduction. I mean, like, I, I, I. You hear people all the time. They speak, right? They get on stage and they go. They give this huge introduction, right? They get up there and they go, let me tell you a little about myself. We're like, oh, so college dropout, no one's special. Met a guy in my mid-20s who changed my life because he was making a million dollars a week. Net. Net. That was after his, you know, $120 million mega yacht. After he had his, you know, I don't know, 158 exotic car collection and 10 homes. And, you know, he had a watch on his arm that cost more than my first home did. And I was enamored because I always grew up broke. Right? You know, money's not everything. And I don't know your background in terms of big growing up. Like, you know, going to our grandma's house in Pittsburgh, Ohio, with the one traffic light, getting in a car, six of us packed into a car that seats five and driving from New Jersey to. To. To Pittsburgh. That was our vacations. We didn't go to Disney World, right? Like, we were just hoping that it wasn't too hot and sunny out because then they had a metal slide who. We want our legs to stick on a metal slide that was like. That was like a highlight. It was cloudy that day. Like, we were highlighted. So when I met him, right? It. It was like, whoa. Like, I never knew how wealth was developed. I never knew how wealth was created. And here's a guy after his yachts and his pilots and his jets and his. All his expenses paid, he's netting a million a week. That's insane. Like, that. That's. You know, it was back when it was cool to show it off too, right? You know what I'm saying, Daniel? Like, back then, you put your name on your plane. Everything else right now you're supposed to make a million dollars and give it all away and drive the Prius. I get it. Times have changed, right? But, like, it was so exciting because I got a chance to work with him. I won't have to go through the whole story of it. But, like, you know, he changed my life because just number one, my mind shift changed. Number two is. Is that, like, he said something was really funny to me. I talk about all the time. He said, like, I bet you heard growing up money didn't grow on trees. How many people watching us heard that, right? Money growing trees. Oh, thanks, Mom. Dad been breaking out here for hours. I didn't see any Benjamin Franklin popping up. We knew that because I got a.
Million dollar bills right here. You want one?
There you go, buddy. I like it. You're gonna bet? You know, they never told you where it did grow. I said, no. And he goes, it grows in other people's pockets. And if you take it out of their pocket without giving us something in return, they call it stealing. But if you give them a product or service, they call that capitalism. And it was like. Sounds so dumb. It was out of 14,000 hours of going to school from kindergarten to 12th grade, no one ever told me where money came from. And when I finally realized money comes from other people. I have to develop a skill when or have a product to exchange that service or product for their money. And that's what started me on my journey, because I said, hey, if I gotta get people to hand me their money, I gotta get skilled on how to communicate to them. I gotta get skilled how to negotiate with them. I gotta get skilled on how to be able to create value on my product or service. So they see. Because people only pay what they see for in value. So that's kind of, you know, that's my story in a, you know, two, two minute elevator pitch, I guess.
Well, I love it, man. I'm telling you what that. Sign me up. Where do I sign up? Where do I sign up? Tell me. I never learned that money doesn't grow on trees. But, ladies and gentlemen, this is the part of the show where we say, get out your pen, get out your paper, because Nate's gonna drop some massive, massive wisdom when it comes to business, when it comes to sales, and really, your. Your mindset also. So you know what I always say here? What you write down, you retain over 50% of it. And I don't want you to retake. I don't want you to miss these golden nuggets. He's gonna drop. So get out your pen, get out your paper, and take notes, because I just took note. Yeah, man. You got to know that, you know, I. I love what we're talking about because, you know, my brand is the makings of a millennial mind. And I teach that a lot of times too, right? Money doesn't grow on trees. Everybody's programmed the same way. Let me ask you this. You've been very successful. Build a very successful insurance business. You have the swat. Amazing, right? We have a huge conference coming up that we're going to be in here next May 18th, 8th. May, May 16th, 17th and 18th. I'm gonna be there in Dallas with you.
Yeah.
In all seriousness, strategic, Just so you.
Know, strategic wealth accumulation tactics was not some type of, you know, militia police organization or anything else.
But you learn from your mentor, right?
No. Strategic wealth accumulation tactics. So what were.
What were two or three things that you had to overcome? Because people don't realize this, right? Like, you need money to pay bills, you need money to run a business, you need money to pay employees. And like you said, when you exchange money for value, that's capitalism. What are Two main beliefs that you had to get over that were really self sabotaging you, that you didn't even know were there because it was there and it was just hidden underneath deep, deep. All that trash that we learned in life. What are two things?
Probably like 50 limiting beliefs I had to really overcome. But I remember one of the most transfer formational ones in my life was I was involved in this company and I was doing sales. And if you're in sales, like, you know, maybe you're part of a direct sales company or maybe you're in insurance or, you know, we had the conference calls and they give all their accolades and you go to these awards things. I hated those things because I was broke. You know, people get up there getting an award and my car's getting repoed. You know, people are buying new Mercedes and I'm 100 grand in debt. You know, people are going and getting $5,000 tailored suits and I had one from Sears that I'd swap out three different ties and wash my shirt every other day to make sure that it stink too bad going in the office. So I was one of those people on the wall of shame, right? Like I went, I went, I, I went to the events and I went to the things that they're doing and I'm in an office back then. I'm like, I'm almost 50 years old now, next year. So it's like I'm dating myself. Back in my 20s, you know, I got involved in, in network marketing, but we worked out offices and stuff. And you know, I, I watched people around me having success. And I was broke, man, living on an air mattress with eight, eight of us in one home. We were living in air mattresses. They ate 112 bedroom apartment. Because like back then we were taught, man, you don't get a job, man, a job's like an std, for Christ's sake. You can't have that. You gave up on life and give a job, man. It's just over broke. You know, looking back, I probably should have kept waiting tables to try to make ends meet while I was figuring out at 20 years old. However, I'm glad I did it because I developed a lot of, I developed a lot of who I am. Lots of people miss that when you know, you develop who you are by going through those hard times. But there was opportunity of four years. Yeah, people, a lot of people never grow to who they've become because they never put themselves or, or willing to go through the hard times. I mean, I don't work out, obviously. I mean, I lost some weight, but I'm not a big workout guy. But you talk to guys that work all the time. You, you, you work out and you lift until your muscles can't lift anymore. It's like, till you can't go anymore, you physically, you're like, I cannot go anymore. And when that mus. Muscle, I don't know the right terminology for it, that's the only way muscle grows, is when you exhaust it to a point of where you do it and then you do 10 more. Right. And so, so many people aren't willing to exhaust themselves to go to that pain to get the pleasure. And in the book think and grow Rich, which is right there behind me, which is my first book, I got introduced to thoughts or things is the first chapter. But Napoleon Hill, if you don't know with the story. Napoleon hill was a 20 year old kid hired by Andrew Carnegie, the first recorded billionaire, to study all the wealth and people. Charles Schwab, King Gillette, Henry Ford, all these people. And it says in the book there's many principles accountable. One I think he talked about said that all of their wealth, everyone's wealth, that he interviewed all the wealth people on the planet was in congruence, which how much hell they had to go through their poverty. The greater the disaster, the greater the things they had to do, the greater the challenges, the obstacles, the more hell they had to go through was equivalent to how much wealth they had. So my first thing I had to start realizing was that, you know what? Failure breeds success. We've all read it into books. It's one thing to read, it's another thing to really embrace it. It's like, you know I'm a Christian, right? I don't know if you believe in God. I think you do based on your book. Obviously you'll do it God's way. You talked about, you know, achieving a millionaire. Wow. So you don't, you know, self destruct and decay yourself. I know that's the NIV version, Nate. International version. Okay, I know it's not exact words, right, what you said, but hold up.
I don't hold up. Slow down, ladies and gentlemen.
I talk fast.
Take a note of that. Ladies and gentlemen, your wealth, your success is congruent with the process of preparation, the pain that you go through, the adversity that you go through. So what you're saying, Nate, is the bigger the adversities we go through, then the greater we can be trusted with some form of success or wealth. Because people want Right. They want, they want the success, but then they get the success and they can't handle it and they crumple under it. They self implode, they self destruct and then they self sabotage. Because we've all seen it.
Somebody, they don't have the character, they never built the character to have the wealth that they have.
Yes.
And so they, they blow it. You're right. You, you know, money doesn't make. Okay, I'll get back to. I had this. My first biggest lesson learned was I had to embrace the struggle because I knew there was a miracle on the other end of it. And the only way. So that's my first one. I might write this down. Right. Embrace the struggle. That'll be the first one. I, I was going off on another little tangent now. I forgot what that was off, but it was actually really good. I was going to talk about it and I'll tell you my second biggest, biggest breakthrough. But you got to learn how to embrace that struggle to get the triumph right. But most, most people miss it. Right. We all go through hell and we all go through crap. But what's your attitude during that time? One of the biggest things I learned is that you can't get too high on the highs, you can't get the lows. But can you have an attitude of gratitude even when you're failing? And I teach, I don't try to teach it on here, but there's a five step process that I learned and I go through every single time. I can break it down in bullet points with, you know, what's the worst thing that happens? Number one, what creates fear? What creates fear? The fear of the what, unknown.
Yeah.
So your subconscious mind, your mind's afraid like, oh my God, what can happen? And you're afraid and you're crying, your stomach hurts, you're throwing up sometimes, but I'll see. He said address it, man, address it. Figure out what's the worst thing that can happen in this situation. What's the worst thing that can happen? Can you live through it? And just by doing that first exercise right there, what's the worst? I believe your subconscious mind releases all the fear and anxiety because you're like, well, the worst thing that happens is I lose my home. I can live through. I can get in her home. I never had a home before. I can live on a couch, going back to my mom and dad. I'll buy it back.
The worst thing I can do is live in my new mansion for a year and a half. If I lose it I lose it, but I experienced it.
Yeah. And then. And then he goes, this whole nurse. So we could be on it for two hours. And. And another thing, he said, okay, great.
Is that.
Is it going to matter in 10 years? Is it really going to matter in 10 years? If you think about it, what really happened to you 10 years ago that really, really, really. I mean, it could be one of. Has an impact if you're still alive on you today. It was that bad, right? He said, and the other one was like, do. Is there anyone else around you that you know it's really affecting besides you or your internal people? And most of the time it's no use. It's your ego off. I lose my house. What am I? Sales reps going to think. They're going to think, oh, my God, I did a bad business deal. My ego gets away, right? And if you know anybody, and this is really fast, you know anybody who's gone through what you've gone through and has made it out better off than they were, just made it through, whether it's cancer, whether it's a death of a family member, whether you lose, God forbid, your child, whether it's, you know, you get a car repossessed, whether it's something as simple as having a flat tire when you're late for your big date, whatever it is, right? It's a process to do everything. And this is what got me. This is what got it. Do you. Do you know anybody who's going through something worse than that right now? And that's where the gratitude comes from. I didn't wake up and find out that my wife and kid were beheaded for loving God. I didn't wake up and realize that my. My home was just bombed or burglarized or my. My sister was like, there is so much tragedy that's happening. So that gave you the attitude of going, wow, yeah, I'm going through this, but thank God I have a house to live in that got flooded. You know, Christmas, you know, thank God my pipes broke. Thank God I live in a, you know, beautiful home where I have a roof. And so what happened was, is that I truly believe, if you start reading, I study a lot in the brain and psychology, that those vibrations you give off during that time attracts that miracle and stuff. And I really, truly believe, if you're religious or not, use a higher power. Most people are smart to realize that we live in a creation of some sort. Whatever type of religion you are, I don't really care that those rewards are there, but are you willing to go through the obstacles to be able to get them. And are you? That's. That's one thing is, yeah. But you can't be a grumpy, miserable, big ditch the whole time you're going through it and expect to have a miracle in their end. Can you be great? Look at the Bible. Perfect example. One of the best success books that are out there, right? Look at having a joke. We want to go through the story, right? Can you have an attitude of gratitude even when you're failing? And that was a major thing because every. I could go down, which, if you come to the SWAT training, I actually give examples of this, which is, you know.
But you know what? What you're saying is so huge because I'll just say this. I have a family member that's going through some things, and me and my wife were just. We're in prayer, and I was just like, you know, so and so. Just all they're doing is complaining instead of being grateful for the opportunity that they've been given.
And.
Right. We all want that better career. We all want to go higher. But if you're complaining, it kills a gratitude state. Would you agree with that?
100. 100. So.
So, ladies and gentlemen, I want you to ask this. Write this question down. Where right now are you killing your own gratitude based on what Nate is saying? Because all you're doing is complaining, complaining, complaining, and complaining. I want a better job, but you're not grateful for the job you have. You want a better car, but you're not watching. Washing your car and pinning it out. You're not grateful for the car you've given. You want a new house, but then again, you have dishes inside your sink, and you're like, you're. You have weeds. Like, that's one. One thing. My kids hate this word, tidy, right? Because I'm like, hey, you got to tidy up the house. I use that. And I think I got that from Tidy Cat, just from seeing Tidy Cat from being in the commercials. Right? But I. I K this. Tidy up the house. Like, yeah, I. I love my yard to look good because it's. It's a gift from God. And right now we're going through some things, which is great because we're right. We're thinking bigger, our vision is growing. But it's like, I pull the weeds, we add soil to the house, we wash the dishes. And people, they don't realize when you don't take care of what you have right now, how do we expect God to bless us with More. And that's what you're saying. It's like, it's gratitude. Like, it's just. It's simple as gratitude. But if you're going to work and say, man, I have to go to work. No, I get to go to work. I get to train myself people. I get to. And this is a big one right now. Especially right now. We're in tax season. I. Bradley just had an awesome reel, right?
Because I was going to say Bradley, that's hilarious. I wish I was just. But go ahead.
Yes. He had an amazing real today. And I say this right. You know what I told myself today? I said, I am ridiculously happy that I get to pay my taxes this year in 2024. I am ridiculously happy. And that means we had a good year. Talk to us about that, Nate.
My goal is to pay a million dollars a year in taxes. Because if you're paying a million dollars a year, I'm getting close. But if you pay a million dollars a year in taxes, you know, you're doing something right. You know, it's funny you talked about because Bradley said, you know, he.
He.
I. I have a relationship with Bradley. He's an awesome individual. We were just on the phone. I got a chance to do his national call for Real Financial the other day, but, like, he did a. I don't get on social media as much, but people send me stuff, and I'll look at. Or if I do get on, I'm not a scroller. I'll go to some people like you or Coach Bird or Bradley or, you know who.
All these topics.
I'll go look at their real. I want to be inspired. You know, I want to hear Patrick, Ben David talk about something I want to hear. I don't like naming names, but, you know, I'm talking about. I'm not. I'm not doing this. I got caught on Tick Tock one time doing that. Four hours later, I didn't know if the Earth was round or flat or, you know, the pyramids were created by aliens or, you know, I didn't know what to go. I was like, I'm so confused. Carrots are good for the eyes and they make you go blind. It's like, oh, God, get me out of here.
Stop.
Stop.
Right?
But he said something, right? He said, and I get a Nate international version. But the point was, right, he said, if I gave you, you know, $12 million, I'd be excited about that, right? How many weeks I gave you $12 billion. But what if that $12 billion came with the prerequisite that you don't get to wake up tomorrow. Would you still take it? And everyone goes, well, of course not. So what you're telling me I can't do Brad's voice, but what you're telling me is that you waking up tomorrow morning is more valuable than $12 million? Now, it sounds really cute and put on a Hallmark card, but do you really live your life that way? You know, because I. Money doesn't buy happiness. That's B.S. money buys happiness. That's the dumbest thing ever heard in my life. Oh, it's like going on vacation. I never seen people around Jet skis miserable or, you know, when I bought my McLaren, I wasn't like, oh, darn, I just bought a quarter million dollar supercar. So it makes you happy. It just makes you happy. Like when you're a kid at Christmas. Imagine saying, doesn't make my kids happy when I get a lot of presents at Christmas. BS it doesn't buy fulfillment. It makes them happy. But those toys are in the toy chest with the ones from last Christmas, and they never get to play with them again. My cars sit there and collect dust. I get yelled at by the McLaren dealership because I don't drive it enough, because I have a car I bought five years ago and it's got 5,000 miles on, you know, and they're like, you don't drive it enough. And then there's always something, damned if you do, damn if you don't. They. So, you know, the fulfillment comes from being able to, you know, my mentor always said, don't fall in love with yourself. I've never seen a hearse pulling a U Haul. He's like, you know, we talked about, you know, I. Back to that whole thing of gratitude. It's like my biggest victories in life and miracles in life and the best things in my life always came after the worst storm, the worst tragedy. So I don't get excited about it. I wasn't like, holy cow. I built a company for eight years and I'm making $60,000 a month. And now I have no income coming in because I had to walk away from it because I got lied to. I'm really happy. No, but if that didn't happen in my life, I didn't stay grateful for it and have to move into a one bedroom apartment and sell a lot of the stuff that I built. I never would have met my lovely wife I've been married to for 10 years. I would never have this incredible, you know, a Son that I have, you know, that just turned 17 about turn 18 years old and now driving around, which is scary, right? And I wouldn't have this incredible opportunity where I have so much more free time and flexibility. I've been to like 50 plus countries in the last six, seven, eight years on the insurance company's dimensions. I was a multi millionaire and didn't have a vacation for 10 years because I was glued to my business. So that, that, although, I mean, that's a lot, I walked away from $60,000 a month income. I mean, I took some testimonial fortitude, but I said, you can't take what's in here and you'll never take what's in here. I just got to find another opportunity. Do you, I mean, is anyone really sitting around going, oh, I wish I had my iOS, you know, one back or my flip flow to kiosk. No one wants that. Ten years from now it's gonna be obsolete. You're like, I can't believe I used to wear it. So, like, the people that say money's not everything are the first people that are afraid to part with it or risk anything to lose what they have. But it's like, why not? You can take my car, you can take my house, you can take my dog. You take, not my wife. Everything I have, I'll buy, build a bigger house, I'll buy a better car, I'll buy a better freaking dog. Like, none of that stuff really matters. You know what I'm saying? So it's like, if you can. If you can really. And I thought it did because I chased money my whole entire career, you know, until I started earning income and I started. Well, less than 2. My mentor said, the reason you're broke is that all you're doing is spending time trying to get Nate wealthy. If you actually took and stopped for a moment and found four or five other people and you helped them get what they want, you'll never have to worry about money again. Another great Hallmark card thing. I put it into practice, and instead it changed the whole dynamic of a relationship. It wasn't about me. I'm doing it now. How can I help Daniel Gomez get as much whatever he wants? How can I help him get what he wants out of. Of of life? Does that make sense? How do I help you do it? If I can help you do it, then I'm going to be able to get whatever it is that I'm going to want to get. And that, that was a pivotal, pivotal point.

Let's take a moment. So number two, is this, right? You can have anything in the world that you want as long as you help other people get what they want. And I love the way Zig Ziglar used to say that all the time. Is that because so many times people need to understand this, right? When, when, when you flow from abundance, you can give and people to, to your point, right, Money is important. Well, if money is important, you're never going to attract a success. But what to your. What you're saying is, is when you. I don't believe in it, right? In my book, I don't, I don't talk about the emergency fund. I'm not a big believer of the emergency fund. It's your freedom fund, right? You're creating a freedom fund to be a blessing to help other people. So when you do that, you're able to help people get what they want. There's. And, and you're like me, right? I think the reason we really connected is because when we were talking and you were like, hey, Daniel, I want you to come and be part of swat. Great, right? Like, even in our events, if somebody can't afford a ticket to, say, to come to one of our events, well, you know what? Can I give them a partial scholarship? Can I help them with something? Because God sees that and you're so into people's lives. And, and the thing is this, is that, is that when you realize, right, people need swat. Like, there's a lot of struggling. There's a lot of struggling insurance people, business people, account executives that don't know how to sell, don't know how to communicate. They don't even know what the four top personalities are. You need to be at swat. So SWAT brings value. And when you know that, it's like, how can you not help people get better? And when you do that, it's gonna be, this is one thing I learned to. What we're talking about. This is a mistake that I. That. This is me. I'm talking about me, Nate, the younger Daniel. I used to reciprocate something that I used to do something for someone, and then I would think, like, man, that, like, why bother, right? Like, no, I learned. God showed me. Daniel, just because you help Joe over here, it's going to be reciprocated maybe by a John over here.
There you go. That's the biggest people miss. Just because you help Joe and Joe doesn't help you back doesn't mean that. Because that's what people. That. I didn't mean to cut you off.
But. No, no talk about it.
No, it's so. It's so true because, like, I can see it in my own life where people come to me like, I'm a hard driving, aggressive personality. I want to win. I'm competitive, man. Well, kick your ass in checkers. If we're playing, you know, whatever it is, we can be, you know, doing the little football thing on the table in between Applebee's or something, you know, flipping it back and forth. Yay, score. I'm very competitive, but I have a strong, strong heart for people as well. And, like, some people that are around me, they. They get. Get around me, and they say, oh, man, I can't believe that happened. Here's what you did for them. You did this, that, this. I said, it's fine. They go, it's fine. Doesn't bother. I said, no, I did what I'm supposed to do, what I'm called to do, and I'm going to get rewarded. How do I know it? All those. Those things I was building up didn't introduce me to the wife, who I don't even deserve, with is a heart of gold and is a freaking supermodel, in my opinion, has the whole package. How do I not know it wasn't from me doing those things that weren't reciprocated? So, like, if you. If you really can live your life that way, if, again, I'm not trying to get religious on anything like that, but, I mean, there's books that are written about it that talk about it. It's not even about being religious, you know, It's.
It's the mistake that I made. As, once again, I want to say, I'm being. I was guilty of this for many years. I. I would do. And I'd be pissed off. I'd be like, you know what? I'm not gonna help anybody again. Like, screw them, right? Because you get betrayed, you get hurt in business, you get backstabbed, you get talked about. But I learned. God told me, when they know, like, you do for Mary, and then I'm gonna bring you Joe, and Joe's gonna do for you, and. And you get. It gets reciprocated back to you. It's like, what was it the other day? I did something, and then you know what it was what it was. And then all of a sudden, I get back, I get a voicemail. Hey, Daniel, I want to publish a book. Like, who are you? Well, told me to call you. They said you could help me. And there you go, right? Book deal done.
I'm like, you helping a lady carry your groceries to the car. Could have been you paying for someone that you knew was struggling, you know, and say, hey, I got the, you know, person's groceries behind me. Or just little, you know, living your life like a normal human being should be, you know, but, like, my mentor taught me that too. I mean, I'm giving you more than two, but he said, don't have any expectations from people, and you'll never be disappointed. So I learned, don't fall in love with your stuff. So I never fell in love with it. It was a trophy. He's like, do you still have, like, your t ball trophy up, Nate when you were 5 years old? Some people probably do. I'm sorry. Like, no, it's a trophy. It's somewhere in the attic somewhere. My parents attic probably are in the trash. Don't fall in love with your stuff. It's on rent. And he gave a great example because, like, he.
He.
I watched him build a company, was on the front cover of Inc. Magazine. 35,000% growth. I watched him earning a million dollars a week. I watched people that he helped go from broke to major, major success in their life totally backstab him, try to get his company shut down. Had the federal trade commission come in, and it was all said and done. Oh, you're not guilty, but we liquidated $100 million of your. Of your stuff. And I'm like, how's that? Like, I was like, so. Like, so young. Like, how does that not bother you? He's like, did I tell you not to ever fall in love with your stuff? N. I said, yeah. He goes, well, you're been on a really nice vacation, like, where you show up and, you know, you pull up and you get, you know, walk up and they're handing you martinis or, you know, margaritas, you know, and you have a little button that you have, and you push a button, and this butler will come no matter where you are in the resort.
You.
No, I've never actually been on a vacation like that. I didn't understand what the hell he's talking about, right? He's like, well, just pretend. And he's going through this lavish vacation, right? And you're sitting on in the middle of the ocean, and you're get cactor catching your lobster. He's going through on and on. He was really good at making you visualize. And he goes, vacation's done. It's over. You get on your airplane, you're flying home. What are you doing? A. Are you sitting there crying? And why. Oh, my God, I can't believe I just had the most incredible vacation of my life. And. Or are you happy and excited? We're grateful for that incredible moment you were able to experience that most people will never experience in your life. He's like, are you doing one or are you doing two? I said, I'm doing two. He's like, only an idiot would do number one. And that's always stuck with me, like, yeah, so it's like, I've lived a great life. I don't want it taken away. No one wants to leave vacation. But you know, when it happens, it's not this whole big, like, oh, my God, I just lost 60,000amonth. No, you can't take what's in here. You can't do what's in there. So another huge, huge point. He's taught me so many things. I. A lot of mentors come my life, but he was the first one to really snap me up. But I was in the company, right? I'm broke. Like I said, guys are pulling up a new Mercedes and Porsches, and I'm. You know, my car's repoed. I'm walking across. I was living in this apartment here. The office was across the street here, and there was a TGA Friday there. And I hit the TJ Fridays at happy hour because you could buy. I get like four or five appetizers for, like, $10. And that was the only thing I would eat. The rest would be ramen noodles. You know, people are, you know, when you're broke, when, like, you ran out of milk, you had to use orange juice for your Wheaties. I mean, there's, you know, I could tell stories upon stories. I used to go around the grocery store back then and before, before they had samples, that I would live in Costco right now in Sam's club, that's for sure. I'd buy the membership to eat all day. Like, I'd go around. I'm not proud of it, but I'd be walking around and I'd grab a bagel and you know, or a banana or, you know, I. I'd eat. So if you're like, go to grocery store, you see that cart full of stuff and no one's around it, that was probably my cart or someone similar. Know, I couldn't afford to eat. And there was a contest that the company ran and I didn't win it obviously, but my upline did. The person that was above me and I was in the organization won the trip and they couldn't go. And kind of similar, like a carrier trip and insurance, if you win a trip, they say, hey, you have an all expense paid trip to France or whatever, or Switzerland or Russia or Estonia or all these places we've been. If I don't go, I can give it away to somebody, right? I can say, oh, send my mom, send my dad, send, you know, whatever. I want the trip. So the, the. I was friends with them. They said, hey, do you want to go to this guy's house? My mentor, the guy owned. Yeah, I want to go. I'll never forget. We get there, you know, we're going through Summerlin, Vegas, really nice part. We'd go like four different gates. He lived right on the golf course. And I walked in his home and you know, I look up at ceiling like, you know, no, people have like those little enclaves or things that are like sunken and they put like a little decoration from Target up there or something, or a basket hit. $175,000 1975 edition Harley Davidson as his decoration above his door. I mean, just insanely stuff, you know, looked over here as a big crystal the size of me. It probably cost two, three million dollars. And I'm, I'm like, this is my chance, right? So I'm falling around. My name should have been Nat instead of Nate because I'm like, what about this and what about that? And when the overview's done, what about this, what about that? And he would answer questions. He'd get up and walk around and go to the pool table. I'd be like, what would you hear? What would you do there? And everyone else is kind of like nervous to talk to him.
I didn't care.
But here's my chance, you know, guy's close to being a billionaire and I have a chance to be around. I'm going to ask him every. I don't care. He thinks I'm an idiot when I ever get this opportunity again. Yeah, I followed around like a puppy dog. We go to the corporate office the next day. I'll never forget. And we walk into this big, like, last supper. I mean, this big table was all. Everything was gold. Like, I never had a Trump's place, if I can imagine. Like a room with everything was gold plated, everything else. And I'm walking in my sears suit because back then we would dress up. And I forgot my dress shoes. Daniel. I forgot my dress shoes. So here I'm in sandals, right? So here he is at the end of the table in his suit. Yeah. And suit all suited up with my sandals on. He looks at. Looks down and goes, nice shoes, kid. And that was it, right? I'm like. So everyone sits down. He's like, I hope you guys enjoyed the last two days. Does anyone have any questions besides Nate? So the meeting's over. I go up to him, I go, hey, can I. Can I get your. I remember like it was yesterday. Had that big, first big flip phone sitting behind him on his desk. Like the first one that ever came out, you know?
Yeah, the tan one.
Yeah. And. And he just like, is there. Sir, can I get your pager number? Like, is we. Those pagers were big back there. And he's like, let me ask you a question.
He.
How long you doing this business go? Four years. Okay, what's your biggest check? Like, $3,500. There's people making 35,000amonth. Minus 35 bucks. What's the most amount of volume you ever done? Said 17,000, sir. Which was horrific in the comedy. People were doing that the first month and they came up four years later. It's the most I done. He's like, you did 25,000. Next month I'll give you my pager number. And he walks out of the room. And my brain was pissed. I'm like, you don't understand, man. I need your help. I don't know how to do it or I would do it. What's amazing enough, you probably know how the story ends. Guess how much volume I did that month.
25,000.
35,000. Doubled it. Same product, same comp plan, same stupid sandals with my same one suit, same no car, same air mattress, same apartment, same trips to Fridays. And it wasn't. This was huge for me. So many people misses People don't Work for desire to gain. They work for fear of loss. They have fear. And I could go on three hour training on this. I wanted success. I wanted to be a director. I wanted to be able to do this. But I never had a reason big enough that was going to cost me if I didn't. I see people all the time in insurance. Well, I'm doing. Why are you doing this, Daniel? I'm doing for my kids. No, you're not. You want to be broke. Kids aren't a motivator. If you're doing it for your kids, you want to be broke. Now if I stole your kids and you came home and got a little ding on your Facebook and you pulled it up and you had your two kids and you watch me put black hoods on them, I go, hey, if you don't do 30000 in sales in the next two weeks, your kids are dead. Now I hate that example. But I don't think you're gonna be like, oh, well, you know, sorry, Alex, Michelle, my kids names are just. It's a bad timing right now, you know, it's like, golly, I have my sciatics acting up, you know, I just pulled my back, you know, and it's really busy.
You're gonna find a way to make it happen.
It doesn't you. I didn't worry about the scripts anymore. I didn't worry about. So I thought I needed all this stuff to make me become successful. And we sit around and wait and you have it all there. You just don't have a big enough reason why that you're gonna lose. And I, I, I was a millionaire, okay, A millionaire. And a year and a half later after that day, that was one of the biggest trade I realized, whoa, quit. You're going to develop your skills and get better by doing instead of sitting around thinking you're doing. And there's a difference between activity and productivity. I was very actively doing nothing. I was very productively producing very little. And all of a sudden I stopped focusing on the activity and stopped worrying about all the knowledge I didn't need to have. And oh, was it in this book or is it that person? Or is this training? Or I'll go here and just got went to work and I made those extra phone calls and I made those extra dials and I talked to people I know I want to talk to. I'm like, if I don't do this, I have an opportunity lifetime to have this guy's number. And I'm still, he's still he Lives down. That was the coolest thing. We disconnected for a while and we met up and I found out he. We go to this, we have, we go to the same golf, we were members of the same golf club. I just don't ever get to golf. He lives a mile down the street from my house right now. It was the first time I get chills on my arms. First time last year we did a mastermind with him when I reconnected with some of my people, my insurance business and he had to come to my house. It was like such a really cool feel. Like he knew when I was broke I had no car, I was living on an air mattress. And we got to pull up together in our McLarens at the, the country club. You know, I have to walk him through my million dollar home with the. And, and he was, I was at the training when I was 20 and they, we reduced a swat. We do what's called a blueprint of your life. And most people put more time and energy picking out a birthday present or planning a surprise party or planning a vacation than they ever do their life. Think about how many people, how much time people put into where are we going to stay, what's the flights, when we coming home, where we're going to eat, what's some good things to do. They spend all this time playing this vacation, but how many people really take the time to plan their life? And so we had a session that we do at the swat, which is life changing for me again, where we walk you through a 20 year plan. Where are you going to be in the next 20 years, 10 years, five years? And you're able to map it out and then we're able to put actionable steps on how do you achieve that? And it's really awesome because we do it. We've been doing it every year now. I used to do it once every year and it's great to hear the stories where they'll come up and we'll go around the room, they'll say here's what I wrote in my journal of what I'm going to do. Here's my daily actionable steps. And here's what I achieved. Hey, I got that Rolex I wanted. Hey, I got that relationship I wanted. Hey, I just lost 80 pounds. And there's a method to it. Just like you have a gps, you go, I want to go here. But most people have no clue where they're going. Can you imagine you get on an airplane and you go, you know, you're, you bought A ticket to go to Dallas, Texas, for the event. And it gets on there. It always sounds like they swallowed the microphone. Right? You know. Attention welcome passengers. You know, we're on Flight 2222. We really have no idea where we're going. However, we hope you're happy when you get there.
So that's a great question to ask the audience right now.
Would you ring the bell, though? But would you ring the bell, like, use that call attendant button? Hey, I gotta phone the D. I gotta flight to death. But no one ever taught me that, too, so. But the point is, I come back to this question. I'm sitting there at 20 years old, and I'm drawing out my dream home. And I have a view. When you come to SWAT and I show you this picture, and you see it when I was 20, and now when I bought it when I was, like, 45, it looked like I saw the house when I drew it. I had the circle driveway with the fountain pillars on the inside and out, stucco with palm tree. And it gives Cody chill still. Like, we can go a whole other segment on that. It wasn't. You know, it's not this mystical. It's like, we can explain how that works, but there it was in my subconscious mind, and I knew actual steps to do it. And so it was the coolest feeling in the world to be able to walk him into my home that he helped me achieve when I was 20 years old and I'm living in the. You know, the home. I should have done it faster. I was the only thing I'm pissed off about. But you had. Yeah, that question for the audience. I really didn't want to cut you out. I think we went past 20 minutes. I told you, we're gonna pass 20 minutes, bro. No one's gonna know we're good. No one's gonna want to watch this marathon. They're gonna be like, this is good stuff. But so.
So, ladies and gentlemen, ask yourself this question. Get out your pen and paper and write this down. Where in my life am I wandering? Where in my life am I wander? Wandering. Not wandering, wandering. You're wandering lost.
You could be wondering why you're wandering. Wondering.
Wondering why you're wandering. And it's like, right, you're wandering, and you're going around the same circle over and over. You're going here, and you're lost, right? Because Nate just gave you the trip. You don't have a GPS if you're here. If you're at A and you want to go to B, how Do you get to B if you don't have a GPS system set up? How are you going to get there? So ask yourself this question. Where in my life am I wandering? Where in my business am I wandering? Maybe your revenue's stuck and you haven't grown. Why haven't you grown? Because you're wandering. You don't have a point. You, you, you or you. Right? You're just. Well, I just want to. I want to make more money. Well, what is more money to you? Like what I did. I challenged myself last year. I put. Daniel Gomez Enterprises is generating $4.2 million in 2024. How that's going to happen, I don't know. And then I met me. And then. Then I met. I met you. But I read that to myself. And even though I don't know the how, people want to know the how. Don't worry about the how. Like, give yourself a destination point. Wake up every day, show up. We're here doing this show. And, and, and let's be honest, Nate, right? It's like we had this, this show planned earlier in the day and. Right. We're both busy, but you said, you know what? We're gonna get the show done. And we found a way. And even though it's later than we wanted to.
Oh, you give me such grace. Okay, so we have a show plan. And I text him at 4:30.
No, no, no. But. But the point is. The point is this. Is that. Is that. Winners show up.
Yeah. Yeah.
Winners show up when you don't feel like it. Champions show up when you're tired.
Let me say that again.
Winners show up when you don't feel like it. Right. Everything you want is on the other side. I don't feel like it. Your new house is on the other side of. I don't feel like it. Your million dollar revenue is on the other side. I don't feel like it. Your new car is on the other side. I don't feel like it. If you're letting I don't feel like it. Be bigger than you. You're losing. Listen to what Nate's telling you, ladies and gentlemen.
No, you're 100%.
He's being joking, right? He's. He. He's talking about.
Look.
And I never even been in this house. Look. What do winners do? They write their stuff down.
My affirmations that you're talking about all stacked right here. It's one of the exercises we do where it's mental, physical, spiritual, social, financial. Your brain's a computer, and I Hack every morning. Listen, right? I love the impact I had with the 500 plus agents of SWAT. May 1618. The lies we change of the events. Incredible. Every morning when I wake up in the morning, three or four times a day, I read through it. So I take my three or four most important ones I'm really focusing on. I read them three or four times a day. And all the other ones I read before I go to bed. And when I wake up in the morning, I play I. My wife mad at me because like I learned point eight, okay? I learned that your brain's a computer and you don't have a delete button, unfortunately.
Right.
And we talk about this as swat in the beginning when you are. They've proven now when you're in the womb of your mother's stomach, you're being programmed. Your subconscious mind is learning.
Yes.
Bites whatever's happening around, you're unconscious. And your brain's being programmed and your belief systems being formulated for the first four or five years of your life, you're unconsciously thinking about anything. You're just absorbing and absorbing. So if you think about maybe you had the perfect life and the perfect home and the perfect parents, the perfect relationship. Very few people did. I mean, Cody Askins, I mean, I know I such an incredible person because he had a great family growing up. Not all of us did. Right? And I love my mom and dad. I'm not saying that. But there's. We're all defective as humans. That's in the Bible too. So. So we have all this bad programming, right? And then I watch people continue to shove crap and junk into their computer. It's like how I don't know why I'm broke. I don't know why I can't have a successful relationship. I don't know why I'm away. Well, first of all, it's not your fault because you got screwed for your first, you know, 18 years of your life getting bad programming. Well, now what you got to do is you have. You can't delete it. There's no. I wish. There's a reset button. It goes number one. Stop putting crap into your computer. Quit putting bad stuff in there. Why? You know, watch me. Big bank time. My mentor. Tommy, don't. Why are you watching the news? What's so like, you know, the weather. Rains tomorrow, you're not going to get up. I mean, maybe it's a hurricane or something. Like what's positive? Two or three things positive that you get even out of watching news. Here's where I grew up and I thought, man, now I understand why such a negative fault finding pathetic broke person. Because every night at dinner, 6:30 at night, we'd sit down as a family and no one talked because Walter Cronkite was on right there at CBS or ABC News. And we watched the world go to hell every single night for a half hour while we ate dinner night after night. And God forbid, my dad something to do because he would tape it when the VHS tape. Oh, I was excited. Then we'd all sit around and he'd tape it while we ate dinner or we'd watch it while we ate dinner on VHS tape. I'd get in his car. I'm from Jersey, KYW News Radio 1063 men were shot to death down the hall. I mean, how. Wow, I was messed up. I remember my first seminar. Oh, you go to one of those brainwashing seminars, like. Yeah, I sure did. Man, he got a roto reader in that thing. Man, I need to get. My brain wasn't dirty. It wouldn't be washed. So I learned that I can't delete it. So I have to reprogram it. Yes, I have to reprogram my subconscious mind to think differently than what it was because it has a bunch of bad habits and it has a bunch of stuff and I'm weak and I'm human. I'm of the flesh. I got to be constantly putting in what I want. My body, it's gas in my Ferrari. I. I don't ever pull up to the gas station and go, oh, hell, I'll put the, you know, the diesel in my McLean McLaren today because $2 cheaper. No. Or whatever it is. No. It takes premium gas. Are you a premium producer? When you're a premium producer, you can't be living on junk. If you're a bodybuilder, I mean, it's, I guess, so upset. Success is so freaking easy, and I missed it for so many years. If you go to the gym and you hire somebody who's not 400 pounds, that gives you eating advice, who actually. Who's lifted and looks the way you want. If you just follow the plan and be disciplined, consistent to do what they tell you do, you'll hate there's a result.
So let me ask you this. Let me ask you this.
Same thing with success.
But I. But there's a reason they don't do it.
I know there's several reasons why they don't do it.
Well, this is. This is what I talk about a lot too, because they undervalue themselves.
I was scared of success.
And when you undervalue yourself, you don't feel you're worthy.
I didn't think I was worthy.
You don't feel you're deserving of it.
And they was deserving of it and.
You don't rise to your level of skill set and knowledge. We all fall to the level we believe we deserve. And most people don't believe they deserve the millionaire lifestyle. They don't believe that they deserve to be blessed and highly favored. Why is that, you think?
Nate, I just told you why. It's our upbringing. Family, friends, tv, society, school, you know, crabs in the bucket every time you try to succeed. Like it's, it's so many, there's so many things. We're, we're born to win and we're conditioned to lose. We are, we're born to win and conditioned to lose and our whole life and it's not intentional. You know, when you try to start doing something and you go out on your own, oh well, you need to get a real job or you need to go back and get your. They care about you and they're trying to tell you what they know, but they don't. They don't know because they're not wealthy and not abundance. I mean wealth, right? Financial independence, having enough money to pay your bills, whether you work or not, that's it. Having enough money passively coming in to pay your basic necessities whether you work or not is financial independence. Doesn't say having a yacht parked out on the, you know, by the port over there in Miami, Florida. Doesn't say having a million dollar home. It says having enough passive income coming in to pay your basic necessities whether you work or not. And that could be 5,000amonth. Robert Kiyosaki talks maybe 3,000amonth, 10,000amonth, right? So then you get that wealth out of the way and you're, you're financially independent, which today's age. I mean, I, I don't mean to be mean, but if you're broke today, there's something wrong with you. I mean, you could. You go take YouTube courses and figure out how to make money. I mean, it's like there's so much information that's out there and it's not about knowing the information. It's about the same reason I struggled for so many years. It was the first time I met. So I. Life. Who, who thought I was worthy, who thought that I deserved it. I never thought I deserved the success. I wanted it some people go, that's not true.
No.
My subconscious mind was programmed that I wasn't good enough. My subconscious mind was programmed program, I don't deserve it. My subconscious mind was, you know, if you want done something done right, do it yourself. My subconscious mind, all that stuff was running it. If you actually study the mind, which I do, these calls on Thursday night, these free.
Let's retract. You said something that was huge for business owners. And this is what the problem is. If you want something done right.
