Transcript excerpt from a short video where two speakers explain choosing a porcupine as a new mascot and the name 'Quigley'. They contrast porcupine perceptions (mentioning TikTok and myths about quills), list other mascot candidates (duck, gecko, emu, yeti) that were already taken, and state they settled on Quigley because it fit the animal's personality and was easy to say.
So our new mascot is a porcupine. Porcupines are extremely cute, extremely cuddly, extremely pleasant to be around. At least the ones we're seeing on.
TikTok. Right. Very surprising, too, because you grow up and you think that these porcupines are very dangerous animals and they're gonna shoot these quills at you. That's not really porcupines at all.
That's right. And so we started thinking. So misunderstood. Yes.
A lot of times, just like insurance.
There you have it. It was either Quentin or Quigley. There was a lot of names in the mix, but Quigley just. We kept coming back to it. Easy on the tongue. That's right. And it matches the porcupine's personality, too, for us, I think. No, we, you know, initially we thought about the duck.
And that was taken. Then we went to the gecko, and then that was taken. And then I had a beautiful idea about an emu, and it turns out that was taken, too. So harder to find a yeti. Yep. Turns out that was taken, too. So we landed on porcupine.
And we think we got it. We think we have the mascot of all mascots with the porcupine.
