This is a YouTube video titled "Stop telling moms to feed every 3 hours!" created in July 2025. The content features a speaker discussing infant feeding schedules, emphasizing feeding babies based on hunger cues rather than strict three-hour intervals, and providing guidance on timing feedings effectively.
Stop telling moms to feed their babies every three hours. Wait, what? Yes, a lot of babies, most babies do need to eat about every three hours. But we have to remember they're babies, not robots. They're humans, not clocks. So what we should be saying is feed your baby according to their hunger cues. And during the day, don't go longer than about three hours between feedings. As they get older, it can be a little bit longer, let's say three and a half hours. Also, we time feedings from the start of one feeding to the start of the next feeding. Sure, we need enough time between feedings so that they can get a nice, full, effective feeding at each and every feeding. But if your baby is hungry and it's been less than three hours, it's okay to feed them. Now, if you can never get, let's say, longer than two hours between daytime feedings, see the caption.
