Welcome to Please just go to sleep, where I give you one practical way to make nights and naps easier. As always, this is rooted in research. Effective and emotionally connected. Here's today's tip. Be intentional about what you do during awake time. Think about it. You and I sleep better when we move our bodies and engage our brains. Our babies are just like us. This doesn't mean you need American Ninja Warrior obstacle courses in your home, or you need to be playing Baby Jeopardy. Give them an opportunity to get down on the floor and practice their skills. Crawling, rolling, rolling, sitting, pulling up. Allow them to engage their brains. Offer developmentally appropriate activities or toys. What we do when we're awake dramatically impacts how we sleep.
