Why babies nap great but won't sleep at night, and what to do about it. The speaker covers why daytime sleep doesn't guarantee nighttime rest, and offers strategies for managing night wakings consistently.
And sometimes I see this, which can be really confusing. Carrie, you just said that nights were typically learned before naps. This baby's taking great naps. Why are nights hard? Well, first thing I would look at is total daytime sleep. If they're getting too much daytime sleep, that can cause night wakings. So check that out. Then the next thing you need is just a plan for those night wakings. How do we approach night wakings? Being really consistent on what we do each and every time they wake up really makes a big difference. If you need help with that, my class can help you. I'll walk you step by step through it so that you know what to do in the middle of the night when you have those wakings, so that we can start getting those 10 to 12 hour nights.
