Bald Cypress - Swamp Giants #tnnursery #BaldCypress #swamplife #gardening #garden #tree #fishing

Hey everyone, it's Bailey with TN Nursery, and today I'm showing you something really cool. These are little bald cypress trees. Bald cypress is a really, really cool tree because they can live in water, and they can live to way over 1,000 years old. They're one of the oldest living trees. People love them because in the fall, their foliage— I'll do a close-up of the foliage because it is really cool— turns a copper orange before dropping off. They're often called swamp giants, and they reach heights of over 150 feet. The trunks alone can be 20 feet in diameter. These are really fast-growing trees, and they love water, and they can also survive droughts. Well, the oldest known bald cypress tree is over 2,500 years old. They're prized for building boats because they do so good in water. They thrive in wet and dry soil. They're literally the most hardy tree you could probably ever plant. We have them here at TNNursery.net, and we got them for buy one get one free. And you can see these are coming up, and by fall they should be about 1 to 2 feet high.
