Hey guys, it's Bailey with TN Nursery, and I'm showing you our Carolina Allspice today, also known as strawberry shrub, because if you break off one of these leaves and rub it and you smell it, it smells like a strawberry. And this is one of our best-selling shrubs. They're beautiful, they're beautiful against houses. I have one against my house and I love it, and I love the smell of it. They bloom a maroon color, then the bloom looks like a lily pad bloom. They say that these are an ancient plant because there's no other shrub that blooms like them. And they're a beautiful plant to have around, and they— their bloom closes in on their, uh, on their pollinators and keeps their blooms closed until, uh, they— that the flower knows it's pollinated, then the flower will open back up. And it's a very cool shrub. It's beautiful, it's ancient, and it's, it's a wonderful shrub. And it, uh, is the host plant for a lot of rare pollinators. Shop now at tnursery.net.
