Hey guys, it's Bailey with TN Nursery, and here I have a bare root red maple tree. Now this is about a 3-foot tall red maple, and when you get it, you'll see that it ain't got no, uh, nothing on it. It'll have a few buds here and there. See them buds? Let me see if I can show you buds. And there will be nothing, just, just like this. It'll look like a stick. Now if you think, well, this is dead, I want to show you a trick. When you get it, go like this. Well, you can take your fingernail or whatever, but I ain't got good fingernails. I'm going to go like this. See that? See how it's greenish white? That tells you that this tree is alive and it's ready to plant. And you just soak these roots and you plant about this far up on the base. You don't want cold weather touching your roots, so you want to plant about 2 inches above the, the first root.
