Hey everyone, it's Bailey with TN Nursery, and today the boys are planting— these are called live oak. Live oak's a native to Florida, and it's an evergreen oak tree. They live hundreds of years. Some of them even live over 1,000 years old, and they're insanely majestic looking. You often see them draped in Spanish moss. Spanish moss loves these beautiful trees. They're extremely dense and strong and have really, really good wood. They have wide, sprawling branches that can reach over 100 feet long. The foliage of them is small and thick and leathery, which makes them really good in drought weather. They're an excellent shade provider due to their massive canopy, and they feed deer, birds, squirrels, and wildlife. They tolerate salt spray well because they originated near the ocean. The bark is so thick it's resistant to fire. This time next year we'll have these beautiful trees for buy one get one free and seedlings available, so keep your eyes peeled for them. But for now, if you're looking for an oak tree that we have available right now, we have about 7 or 8 different kinds. Shop now at tnursery.net.
