In this TN Nursery YouTube video, the host introduces the purple coneflower (Echinacea), explaining its etymology, native distribution (eastern and central North America), and its rarity. The plant belongs to the sunflower family, features a two‑toned double flower with dark pink petals and a pink pom‑pom center, and blooms from midsummer through fall. Key horticultural traits highlighted include heat and drought tolerance, deer resistance (due to spiky cores and odor), attraction of bees and butterflies, a robust bushy growth habit that forms clusters without aggressive spreading, and low staking needs. Care notes mention that mature plants prefer continuous watering initially and become more drought‑tolerant later, with a light fragrance and abundant flowering. The video concludes with a sales pitch, stating that the purple coneflower is available for purchase at TN Nursery with low prices and fast shipping.

Welcome to TN Nursery YouTube channel. Today, let's talk about purple coneflower. Purple coneflower derives from the Greek word "echinos," meaning sea urchin. It is a rare plant that you can only find in eastern and central North America and nowhere else in the world. Hence, its rarity adds up to its charm even more. In addition to being sturdy, small, native plants, they also attract bees and butterflies to the garden. They are heat and drought tolerant as well as easy to grow. This budding plant is native to North America and belongs to the sunflower family. Deer are put off by the spiky cores and intense odor, making it a deer-resistant plant. Once mature, they prefer continuous watering and become more drought tolerant as the season progresses. It has a light fragrance and is quite floriferous. The plant has a well-branched, robust, and bushy growth habit. Since these plants grow in clusters organically, they will not spread as far as other perennials. Even though they have a large flower head, coneflowers have sturdy stems, and they rarely require staking. Purple Coneflower is a two-toned double flower that produces dark pink, daisy-like petals surrounding a darker pink pom-pom with a green eye in the center. It blooms from midsummer through fall, with bright yellow-orange flowers nearly covering the entire plant. Purple Coneflower is for sale at TN Nursery, with low prices and fast shipping.
