In this TN Nursery promotional video, the speaker introduces the purple hibiscus (also called the purple satin tree), highlighting its striking dark red eye on deep purple petals, semi‑double blooms, and shrub size of 8–12 ft tall by 6–8 ft wide. The plant’s foliage turns from dark green in summer to golden‑yellow in fall. It thrives in full sun, tolerates extreme heat, and prefers well‑drained, even poor or clay‑rocky soils with a neutral to slightly acidic pH around 6.5. The hibiscus has a taproot, is drought‑tolerant, and attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. The video concludes with a sales pitch that the plants are available for purchase from Tennessee Wholesale Nursery at low prices with fast shipping.
