The best shade ferns to grow for beginner gardens are Christmas ferns, ostrich ferns, and lady ferns. You may be wondering what exactly these 3 types of ferns are. Let me tell you a little about these so you can decide which of these is right for you, if not all of them. If you're a beginner gardener, this shade fern package is the perfect for you. First off, we have Christmas fern. This is a gorgeous evergreen fern that can grow throughout the USDA hardiness zones of 3 to 9. It requires excellent shaded, damp soil to grow and thrive. Let's move on to the ostrich fern. They grow well throughout the hardiness zones 3 to 7. These ferns should also be planted in a shallow hole in the ground with a lot of room for roots to spread about. The lady fern can grow throughout the hardiness zones 4 to 8. These ferns also need to be planted in loamy soil and a little more on the acidic side. Shade fern package is for sale at Tennessee Wholesale Nursery with low prices and fast shipping.
