Welcome to TN Nursery YouTube channel. Today let's talk about yellow trillium. Yellow trilliums are native to temperate regions of North America. They commonly grow in some parts of eastern Canada and the southeastern United States during April and May. It means they generally bloom in mid to late spring. It extends from an underground rhizome and can grow about 14 inches long. The plant grows into beautifully curled or twisted yellow blooms which possess a mild lemon scent. The scent complements the color as well as the name of this plant. Its three-petaled flower can easily distinguish it. There is a beautiful whorl of three leaves beneath this three-petaled flower. These leaves are mottled in appearance, which means they possess diverse colors. The colors generally range from light green to dark green with some spots of silver. The overall appearance of a fully mature yellow trillium is incredibly eye-catching. They are most suitable in woodlands or other places which are heavily shaded. In terms of soil, they thrive in rich, moist, and well-drained soil. It is mainly due to their natural forest habitat. Even though partial to full shade is preferred for their growth, they can tolerate some sun too. It is a low-maintenance plant and can be planted in multiple environments as it can adapt to its surroundings.
