If you could go back and tell Colin something earlier in his career, what would it be? You know, I've been on your show multiple times and you ask this question every time. I never know what you're gonna say. I forget. I interview so many people, I always forget. I'm pretty sure I've given the same answer, but I'm just gonna give it again because that's what immediately pops into my mind. We all need to be kind to ourselves. It is so easy, especially in the job hunt, to tell yourself that you suck and that I got rejected from this job and I'm an idiot. And it's just not true. The job hunt is not reflective of who you are as a human being. And everyone I know who's gone through the job hunt, that's the first thing I tell them. And if they ever come to me and say, I got rejected and I feel shitty, I usually regurgitate the exact same answer. If you're unemployed, if you're looking for a job, or even if you're just employed and looking for a job, if you get rejected from something, that is not a reflection on you. It might even be something that you couldn't even control.
