This is a YouTube video titled "community building 101 #techcommunity #communitybuilding" (uploaded 2025-05-20). The excerpt is a brief dialogue between two speakers (labeled SPEAKER A and SPEAKER B) about community management: the idea that you often need to demonstrate community work before getting a community role, and how approaches that worked at a small team or company may not scale to larger communities or brands.

Because I feel like to get a job in community, you have to do it before you do it. We're all doing community, but we're all doing it differently, which is the crazy thing.
Like, I knew the things that stuck at my old company, but then the scale was really— well, it was tiny. And then now I have this bigger community and like bigger brand and things like that. It's like a lot more to think about. And some things that kind of worked for a tiny team may not work very well here.
