Developers aren't antisocial, they just want real conversations with peers instead of sales pitches. Taylor Desseyn argues that authentic relationships matter more to developers than traditional networking, and that understanding this changes how you reach them.

Developers aren't antisocial. We only want to hang out with our peers. Taylor, you say you're not a developer, but you're like a by-extension developer because you understand us. You've spent time with us, you get to know us, and that's what we care about, right? We just don't want someone coming in and saying, here's my pitch, here's my crap, buy my stuff, join my thing, right? We want there to be this authentic relationship.
