Conferences aren't about learning from talks you could watch online. They're about meeting people in person. The real value is the networking and relationships you build face to face, which virtual events can't replicate.

If we take a step back and say, what's the purpose of these events? Education is not the purpose at all because that's something that you can easily get from just watching a video online. So that's not the reason. What is the reason? Well, like it's partially the reason because it gives educators or even like industry professionals a reason to educate. But if you can satisfy that through other means, then what's like the primary reason? The one thing that you can do with an event that you can't do any other way And that is to get people to meet each other in person.
