Nick Taylor says he wouldn't change much about his path, though he didn't fully apply himself in university. His degree only mattered for landing his first job and never came up again, suggesting formal education had limited impact on his long-term career.
Chapters
If you can go back in time and tell young Nick Taylor anything about his career, what would it be?
Honestly, I wouldn't change anything. And it's not to sound cheesy or anything, but I wouldn't be where I am today because of the things I've done. Like, I could say stuff like sleep more, maybe don't play with a broken ankle in a rugby game, maybe, I don't know, stuff like that. But in general, I went to university and I didn't apply myself as much in university. It was only after I focused honestly more on rugby, but I graduated. But I think I could have maybe applied myself more in university, but honestly, it didn't really change anything career-wise. I got asked for my first job if I had a degree. After that, it wasn't really brought up ever. So not too much, you know, kind of like Back to the Future stuff. Don't want to change the future.
