is your application getting ghosted #techjobs

A recruiter gets 400-500 applications per job posting but reads only about 25. Mass-applying doesn't work. Instead, build visibility by engaging online where hiring managers actually spend time.

When it comes to job applicants, especially in today's world, there are a crap ton of people submitting their resumes, just a ton. This whole notion of just submitting your resume everywhere and hoping and praying, it's not going to get you anywhere. It's just not. Y'all have seen, y'all just said it. It's not, you're not getting seen. And because what happens is if you don't submit your resume right when the job is posted, it's probably not going to get looked at. I've looked at thousands and thousands and thousands of resumes. There are times I've gotten 400 or 500 resumes for one job in the past, and that was before downmarket. And I only read like maybe 25 of them. You have to figure out how to get in front of people on the internet in your demographic. If you are not actively engaging on these profiles, you are missing out heavily.
