Ask your existing connections for introductions instead of cold messaging strangers. One meaningful conversation can shift your career trajectory. Treat networking like recruiting: warm referrals work better than cold leads.

You always want to ask for another introduction. So you essentially will never have another cold lead again. And that's a sales tactic we use in recruiting all the time, right? So if you do that, it starts like the intros are so much easier and you start getting somewhere. And here's the deal. You're probably most, 99% of your conversations are just gonna be chatting and nothing's ever gonna lead from it. But you have to understand something. One conversation can completely transform your entire career. One conversation.
