One of the ways that you cannot be alone in your job is mentor mentees. I will tell you this, I could not be where I'm at in my career without the mentors that have poured into my life early on in my career. One of the ones, Scott Gordon, I want to give him a shout out. He poured into me like crazy because Scott told me as a recruiter to shut up, go to meetups, and don't say anything as a recruiter. And what that did is that helped me be a part of your community, the engineering community. the tech community, at a really, really early stage of my career where most recruiters are the type of recruiters that show up to meetups, leave halfway through, and only give pizza.
