The excerpt is a short monologue by a single speaker (labeled SPEAKER A) giving job-search and interview advice—emphasizing that people prefer to hire those they like, recommending finding commonalities with interviewers (example: bonding over attending the University of South Carolina and mentioning Todd Lewis) and researching the people you interview with.

People want to work with people they like. Like, it's just the end of the day. Like, it's just— that's it. That's it. Find some sort of commonality, right? Like Todd Lewis, who puts on this event, right? Like, I messaged Todd. I was like, hey, go Gamecocks, right? We both— we both went to the University of South Carolina, right? Boom, hit it off immediately. Or research the people you're interviewing with.
