The speaker uses an example mentioning Todd Lewis and both attending the University of South Carolina ("Go Gamecocks").

People want to work with people they like. Like, it's just the end of the day. Like, it just— that's it. That's it. Find some sort of commonality, right? Like Todd Lewis, who puts on this event, right? Like, I messaged Todd. I was like, hey, go Gamecocks, right? We both— we both went to the University of South Carolina, right? Boom, hit it off immediately. Or research the people you're interviewing with.
