What I'm looking for in a resume as a recruiter is, is in my perspective, if the top half of your resume is written incredibly well, you'll have better chances of getting callbacks. So here's what I like to see. First off, put your contact information in the margin, the upper margin header of your resume. This is something not talked about a lot. A lot of people put their contact information kind of like at the very top of the page, so you're already wasting space. And for me, I just think name, email. Also job search email, right? You don't wanna be emailing your grandmother about Christmas presents and that's actually accidentally a hiring manager. So the professional summary is what I would love to see. So the professional summary, most people put objectives, that's dead. A professional summary to me is a super short version of your cover letter. Here's what the professional summary should look like. 10+ years of overall .NET experience, 6+ years of .NET Core, 3+ years of Angular, 1+ years of test-driven development, and a bachelor's degree in computer science.
