Taylor Desseyn breaks down what makes a job posting feel off. Mission and the actual problem you'd solve should be clear. When postings separate must-haves from nice-to-haves, they attract people who care about the work. HR jargon just makes everything cold.
Listen, if you read a job description and it's cold and sterile, how's that gonna make you feel? Our generation and under is mission-driven, right? So I wanna know what you're trying to solve. I wanna know what the position I'm walking into solves, right? Then I wanna know the nice-to-haves and must-haves, whole nother conversation in and of itself. In my opinion, if a job description has those things, I'm gonna get a decent vibe off of it. But if a job description's got a bunch of HR bullshit jargon in it, it's probably not gonna give me the information I need.
