I've talked to so many hiring managers, right? From all the way from Netflix to startups. And the same thing is pretty consistent across the board. Hiring managers view every junior developer the same. Technically, what they look for is communication skills. Can you talk about why you did what you did? Are you engaging? Are you inquisitive? Are you going the extra mile to find that answer out? I was talking to one developer the other day, was like, I missed out on the question. I went to research the question that night. I emailed the hiring manager. And I was rejected. And then that hiring agent came back and interviewed me again because I went and did the research, right? So again, I will tell you, side projects are everything. It's everything. If you can show it in the GitHub portfolio, whatever, and you can talk, I did this because of this, because of this. Again, how I tell you to write your resume, I did X because of Y because of Z. You're gonna have a leg up more than anybody else.
