You don't need to run a conference to build community in tech. Start by inviting two friends to something you already enjoy doing. That's it.
Nobody starts. Everybody is scared. And I will tell you this, coming to conferences like this, it can be overwhelming. Like, listen, Taylor, I can't start anything like this. Taylor, I can't do what you're doing. I can't do, you know, a virtual meetup. I can't grow a Discord channel. I can't grow a Slack channel. And I'm like, listen, do you have 2 friends in tech? Everybody's got at least 2 friends. And so my thing is, is invite those people to do something you love.
