How do you structure your day with being laid off? The only time I was actually terminated from a job, which was at Ryan's Steakhouse way back in the day. Once I got the layoff, first week I didn't do anything. I let all the emotions out, the crying, the praying, researching myself. And right about day 6 or 7, I really sat down and mapped out what do my days need to look like for me to stay in good spirits, go through this process and be able to have the right mental attitude, be able to show up at the best of me in every interview. And I knew I needed to hit a few key points. I needed to do something for my body, something for my spirit, Something for my brain. Something for my family. Those were the 4. It was so simple. Nobody needs to buy a 90-page book on how to structure your life. I knew those 4 were critical. I put in the time where I wanted to work out every day, pray and have devotion, read or code, and family time was in like every evening, 5 days a week. That was the system. Hey!
