LinkedIn's similar connections feature shows you mutual contacts before you reach out to someone new. The speaker met a stranger at a dinner, realized they had many shared connections, and instantly bonded. Check this list before messaging anyone.

Next thing, everybody know the similar connections feature on LinkedIn? Incredibly important. I went to dinner last night, I threw a speaker dinner last night for some speakers, and there was one individual at the dinner, I did not know her, but we had a ton of similar connections, and we hit it off immediately. It's such an underrated feature, so make sure you look at that before you message somebody.
