Two people discuss how to actually network. In person, it's about showing up repeatedly. Online, engage with people's posts on Twitter until they recognize you, then slide into DMs. Hiring managers respond more to faces they've seen.

I don't have anything to offer. Talk about how you should be positioning yourself in the DMs to hiring managers who may not even know you.
We can break down like in-person and virtual. So in-person is easier because in-person we show up, I see you getting slice of pizza, we make eye contact and I do this. That's it. And then next month the same interaction happens. You do that a third time, we're acquaintances or friends. That's all you have to do. Just be present. And that's enough to kind of get the ball rolling. For virtual, just engage. If somebody makes a post on Twitter, they want you to see it. And if you like it, they're gonna see that you liked it. You just gotta do that a couple of times until somebody recognizes you as the person that engages with their content. Likelihood of you getting a response goes through the roof.
