Companies should interview talented engineers now even without open positions. The job market is flooded with high-quality talent, and hiring managers with any budget should use it to build a pipeline of future candidates.

Interview people even if you don't have a job open. Does anybody in here do that? Like if there's a good engineer and you put them through the— I see one nodding his head. At least we got one. This is where companies really mess up. And I will tell you this, if you have any sort of budget right now to hire in the future, I would talk to as many— the market is flooded with amazing engineers right now. If you can find the funds right now, you can get yourself some good engineers. So again, I would always hire, especially if somebody comes to you randomly.
