Use your best AI model now for complex tasks like building spreadsheets, because most real work isn't saturated yet. Saturation will come fast, making expensive upgrades pointless. Until then, stick with strong models like Opus 5 for core work.
Do you have a strong view on choosing the most powerful model out there at the moment versus having a really strong harness and setup, however that is implemented? Do you get a sense of like what is better? I don't think we've yet reached the point where the tasks where you care about are saturated behind the frontier models. If you are building a big complicated spreadsheet, you definitely do want to be using Opus 5 or 5.6. And we will get to a point, I think, where the saturation will occur. It'll probably happen quite fast, uncomfortably fast, where like Opus 5 is really strong. And so when you've got Opus 6 or 6.5, I don't know if it's worth spending all the money on the tokens to get 6 or 6.5 to write your formulas, right? You should be getting it to do something else, but we haven't reached that point yet, in my opinion.
