Excel can handle serious analytics work on datasets up to a million rows without Power Query or Power BI. Load raw data, let Excel analyze it, and get insights and dashboards without the extra tools.
There's two things I'm going to be looking at. One is data analytics. I'm not going to say specifically big data. I almost think I'm going to keep this simple, and it's probably just going to be reasonably large raw data. Dump in a tab of Excel and see what these tools can do with it. If I prompt it to analyze the data and provide insights, create summaries and dashboards, you go up a million rows. You know, that's still pretty big in my books. I hope you don't get anywhere near that big. The point for me is I'm not going to add the complexity of all we're trying to get something from SharePoint or Power Query or whatever else. Let me make this as easy as I can on that side. Data's in the grid of Excel. Analyze it, give me insights.
