A speaker argues against the popular narrative that AI will 'take over' or 'kill us', framing AI instead as a neutral resource that can be used for good or bad. The speaker traces fear to media-driven film conventions, urges measured wariness and mandates, and compares AI to everyday resources like Excel, Google, and energy.

Robots are going to take over. I mean, that is a film convention. So do you think AI is going to kill us all or take our jobs? Thoughts? I think this whole conception that they're going to kill us or to take our jobs is really developed through the media. I think a lot of shows and media we consume kind of generates this narrative of like, robots are going to take over. I mean, that is a film convention. I think it's not bad to be wary, but I also think it's also, to a certain extent, I think people are being too wary. And I truly do believe that AI is here for the benefit of society. Just like any technology, it could be used for good or bad. Yeah, I truly believe that as long as we mandate it to a certain extent and we really know how to utilize this resource, it's truly just a resource. Excel Sheet was a resource, just like Google was. Yeah, just like energy, it's just a resource. And if we think it more deeper than that, then that's where the wariness and fear comes from. I truly believe it's a resource that we can take advantage of and not the other way around.
