Companies that don't go AI-native will become obsolete. The shift is from slow market feedback to closed-loop systems that continuously measure customer lifetime value and engagement. Competitive advantage will be measured by token efficiency, not headcount, as AI scales with electricity costs.

If you're a business owner and you're not already thinking AI native, you're falling behind and you're probably going to die. Y Combinator just released a video that talks about an AI native company's operating system. What does that mean? We are moving from a world where signal from market can actually be consumed really fast in the iterative development cycles to then capitalize on demand. We're moving from open-loop systems with very long-tail feedback, or no feedback, to closed-loop systems where outcomes like business outcomes, CLV, retention, engagement, are continuously measured and used to improve future decisions. To enable that, organizations have to become fully queryable and legible to AI. That means there will be 3 roles in future companies that are AI-native. The builders and operators who execute with AI. The DRIs, directly responsible individuals, owners of the outcomes, responsible for the results. And AI-native founders. If you're not an AI-native founder and you're not actively leading with AI, well, guess what? Your people aren't either. Winning companies in the future are going to optimize for token usage over headcount because intelligence is getting better and better every day. It's becoming infinite. And it just runs on the cost of electricity. So are you falling behind?
