Boris Cherny runs five Claude Code agents simultaneously in separate terminal tabs, each handling a different task like feature implementation, testing, and documentation. He feeds them all the same project context and actively directs their work, treating them like staff engineers. This setup delivers a 100× leverage effect by ensuring the agents build the right things.

Boris Cherny created Cloud Code. Over 100,000 people have bookmarked his setup, and here's one thing that blew my mind. He runs many instances of Cloud Code simultaneously. 5 terminal tabs, 5 agents, 5 different tasks all at the same time. Tab 1 might be implementing a new feature. Tab 2, writing tests for yesterday's feature. Tab 3, reviewing a PR. Tab 4, updating docs. Tab 5, refactoring a module. He is orchestrating, not just coding. And each agent has the cloud.md context. Each one knows the project. He reviews output. He gives feedback. He drives forward hundreds of PRs, hundreds of commits, thousands of lines of code. But that's not really the number to go after. It's really the 100x leverage in terms of orchestrating so that your agents are building the right thing. And that's what everybody gets wrong. You should treat it as I have a bunch of staff engineers and I got to point them to the outcome I want. If you're not thinking like that, you're going to fall behind.
