Robert Ta shares three AI workflows that sped up his startup. He captures meeting transcriptions and feeds them to a custom GPT to keep the team aligned on strategy. He transcribes user interviews in Descript, extracts prioritized features and bugs, then pushes tickets straight to GitHub. For shipping, he uses generative AI for design and starter code, then iterates to production.
Top3ways I use AI as a startup founder, if you're not doing this, you're probably not going fast enough. Number one meeting transcriptions using Granola Otter, Google Gemini or whatever. But here's a hack. Take your meetings, summarize notes and transcriptions and dump that into your GPT intern which should be trained on your brand guidelines, product strategy, technology strategy, your go to market strategy. And now if you do that every week, well, it's going to have the latest on your pivots and it keeps your team aligned. Number two User research to delivery handoff. What I mean by that is I will record user interviews using my product. I take that and bring it to Descript, get the transcription and I have a prompt that I run on that. Then I can get a prioritized list of features, bugs, other insights and takeaways to bring back to the team. And then I actually use to push that into our GitHub backlog in terms of tickets and issues in a prioritized way. Number three Shipping product, shipping code. Going from design using generative AI, showing that to users and team and then using a bit of subjective taste, you create technical specifications and flawed code and then you go and make the product. Those are the top three ways I use AI as a startup founder to ship at 100x speeds.
