Unfiltered AI Talk: "I'd Pick AI President Over Trump" | Episode [30]

A short, recorded street-style interview between Speaker A and Tazia (a student of economics and political science). The episode asks rapid-fire questions about AI — whether it will take jobs, societal equity effects, romantic/therapeutic AI, trust in AI versus politicians, AI sentience and voting, and personal end-of-life choices. Tazia is cautiously skeptical of AI’s hype: worried about job displacement (rates her worry a 7/10), skeptical of AI relationships and therapy, would choose an AI president over current leaders (explicitly compared to Trump), and believes humans will retain creativity.
Look at my camera and tell me if on the top left it's rolling. Like red. It's rolling. Cool. And if you could stand here, that'd be great. What's your name?
I'm Tazia.
Tazia. Cool. Good to meet you. How do you spend your days?
That's a good question. Honestly, if I'm at school, like, studying.
Studying. What do you study?
I study economics and political science.
Okay, got it. So do you think AI is going to kill us all, take our jobs? Thoughts on that?
I don't think it's going to kill us all. Whether or not it'll take our jobs. Something that we'll find out, like, in the next year or so. It might be a bubble, but honestly, I don't know. I don't think it's. It's as efficient as everybody's saying it is.
Got it. Are you worried for your job security coming out of school? Yes. You are? Okay, so you're worried for yourself.
Yeah.
On a scale of 10 is I'm really worried. One is super chill and I got a job whenever. How. How worried?
Probably seven.
Seven. Okay. So you're actively worried. Yeah. Like for your econ major in particular. Yes. Got it. Are you thinking about changing majors?
No.
Okay. Some other thoughts. Do AI will create more financial equity or more divide?
That's a good question, because I guess AI could help people build financial literacy, but at the same time, you never want to fully rely on what they're saying. And then also I just see it as a mechanism for companies to destroy more jobs without creating more productivity. So I'd say more harmful than good.
More harmful than good. Okay. What are your thoughts on AI boyfriend, AI girlfriend? Would you ever go for that?
I think if you have one, you'd need mental help.
Got it. Okay. So you would judge if other people did. Let's say, do you date anybody right now?
No.
What if you did and you caught them cheating on you with an AI partner? Do you think that'd be better or worse than with a human?
I don't think it's like a real person, but I would say, like, don't. Like, that's like, you can get AI psychosis and stuff. So, like, I would say stay away from that.
So if your partner. If you caught your theoretical partner cheating on you with an AI, you would.
Think, well, I would see it like, as something like smoking cigarettes or something. I would be like, get off that.
Got it. Okay. You would try to. You'd see it as like a mental illness or type of, like, Bad behavior type of thing, but not like, oh, you cheated on me. Broke trust. Yeah, I see. Okay. Do you trust AI more than you trust politicians?
Like, depends on the politician, I guess.
Okay, so some yes, some no.
Yeah.
Okay. Would you pick an AI president or current president? Current.
Oh, probably. AI president.
AI president.
Like, compared to Trump?
Yeah, compared to. Right. Okay, okay, okay. Got it, got it. Would you trust an A.I. therapist? No. No, no. Okay. Okay. Should A.I. be allowed to vote?
No.
What if it became sentient and we could prove it? Like, you. You got a job and then your co worker was an AI, but like.
It doesn't need to eat or anything, so probably. No.
No. Okay, so, all right, so if I could feel pain. We proved it. And then would unplugging it be murder?
Yeah, I think. Yeah.
Oh, it would be because it's sentient.
Yeah, we could prove it.
Okay. What's one thing humans will always be better at than AI?
That's a good question. I think Creativity.
Creativity.
Because I can only reproduce what it's been fed.
Yeah, yeah. Versus, like, new stuff. Yeah, got it. Okay. Okay, cool. Couple more. Let's say you get to the end of your life, you're about to die. Would you upload your brain to AI or die naturally?
I probably just die.
Die naturally.
Yeah.
Okay, got it. And couple more. If AI took over, what job would you want in the robot apocalypse?
Probably like their little spokesperson to the humans.
Yeah, like, hey, I represent the AI people. The AI digital people.
Yes, yes.
Okay, so you'd be on their side. All right, cool. Give me one word to describe how you feel about AI. Yauch. Yauch. Wow, you just made a new word. I haven't even heard of that. Okay, do you want to give any shout outs?
No.
No. Okay. All right, well, thank you so much.
