Hello. Hello. Hey, yo, real quick. Do you think AI is going to kill us all or take our jobs? What do you think?
I think it'll take our jobs.
Okay. Why do you say that?
I mean, they're trying to take over factories. Driving.
Yeah.
You know, it's on the upcoming.
Okay. Are you all worried at all? Are you sleeping well at night?
I'm still sleeping well.
Still sleeping well. Okay. All right. Cool. Job prospects feel okay?
Yeah.
Okay. Sick. And how about you? All? Same. Same opinions.
I agree. Yeah. Shane Dawson talks about it. AI is going to take over the world, guys.
Shane Austin.
Shane Dawson.
Okay.
Conspiracy theorist.
Conspiracy theorist. And you all follow him?
Yeah, I watch it. Interesting. Yeah.
Okay, I'll take a look. Awesome. Thank you so much. What are yalls names real quick?
Kaya.
Kaya.
Cambry.
Camry.
Rihanna.
Awesome. Thanks. Y' all have a good day.
You too.
Cool. All right. So I think that's one negative view of the future. We're going to count how many positives and negatives we get. Good start today. Does seem like people are worried. Let's ask some of these folks. Quick question. Do you think AI is going to kill us all or take our jobs?
Oh, Loki.
Yeah, like kill us all and take our jobs or.
I feel like I'm less threatened by taking jobs as it's still a problem. But to me it's a bigger issue that people don't address. Like with the climate, you know.
Okay. Like all the energy consumption.
I think people focus too much on the jobs and don't address like the climate issues.
Got it. How about you both? Same.
No, I agree with that. I feel like it contributes to like global warming and that's a huge issue.
Yeah, yeah.
I just. I don't agree with using AI.
Okay. Okay.
Very big water waste.
How about yourself?
No, I agree on all of that.
So the jobs and then it sounds like there's tension point with cloud climate change and energy consumption. What about the whole kill us all existential risk? Do you think it'll kill us all?
I think most things will.
You know, it's either climate change or AI or what?
I mean, they feed into each other. You know what I'm saying? There's a lot more that feeds into climate change than just AI.
That's true. There's like oil and gas companies and plastic. Oh, 100%.
But it definitely contributes.
Yeah, for sure. So are y' all worried for job prospects? You said maybe you weren't.
Not that I'm not. I just think that, like, people always talk about you Know, like, taking jobs. And I feel like we don't address, like, deeper issues.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Any deeper issues to mention besides climate change? Maybe it killing us all?
I feel like, especially like, in regards to, like, AI art, I feel like it steals from a lot of smaller artists and they don't get, like, profit off of that when they should be getting profit off of that. And I feel like that's really harmful to people's livelihoods.
Yeah. Do you all have artist friends that are trying to make it. Oh, there you go. Okay. So you feel very strongly about this. What kind of art do you all do?
I usually do more digital art, but also sketching. But digital art, I think affects the most.
Yeah. Okay. Okay. And yourself?
I'm more of, like, a traditional artist. I like to paint, but, like, I still feel very strongly about that because I feel like a lot of especially digital artists, like, that's a problem for them.
Yeah, for sure, for sure. Okay. Okay. So y' all are following the space from a copyright perspective, trying to see what your future's like. Yeah, got it. Okay. And what. What are your. What. So they're the creatives. What are you up to?
Oh, I work with children.
Okay. Yeah, yeah. So, okay. Yeah.
I feel like there is definitely an issue with, like, children on, you know, like, screens.
Yeah.
I think that runs a risk, but I feel like my job, you know, safe. Only I can do my job.
I'm not going to. Yeah. Once I have kids, I'm not going to be trusting a robot until that robot has been through many, like, millions and millions of, you know, reps. So cool. Well, thank you so much. What are your all's names?
I'm Vivi.
Vivi.
Kiana. Kay.
Awesome. Maya. I'm Robert. Thank you so much. I run an AI startup where we're actually trying to solve AI alignment so it doesn't kill us all building in the open. We're all open source and we're really thinking about building for people, and that's why I'm out here just trying to get a pulse on what everybody's saying about it. So I really appreciate you all taking the time. Thanks a lot. I appreciate it. Have a good one. Have a great day. Yeah.
Thank you so much.
Sweet. That was dope. Yeah.
Where should we find the video?
Oh, yeah, if you follow me, TheRobert Taw on everything.
TheRobert.
TheRobert Taw. Ta. My last name is just Ta. It might be on certain. I forget, is it Twitter or YouTube has an underscore at the end. But if you find me on Insta or TikTok, I'm there. And we just posted our first street interview series. So if you look me up, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, anything, I'll be there. Yeah, yeah, hit me up and just follow along and you'll start seeing and you'll see yourselves in there. Yeah, for sure. And if you follow me, DM me, I'll tag you on this tour. Cool. Sweet. Yeah, thanks a lot. Have a good one. Perfect. Okay. Very cool. So I'd say one group was like three negative views of the future. They're still sleeping well at night. This other group that was kind of interesting, there were two artists and they brought up a point that I haven't heard yet. And I think probably around this area there are more artists just because we're in Berkeley. I think that's what it's about. And so I'm kind of curious to see if that's going to be a trend that people bring up copyright issues, which I know is a very hot topic in the space right now. And sounds like. So one woman, she works with kids and she was like, I'm really not worried about job security because, well, what I'm thinking too is when I have kids, I'm probably not going to be hiring a humanoid robot into my home unless it's really proven over probably a billion people. Right. Same kind of issue with self driving cars, but in your home. What if it freaks out? So interesting. Interesting. All right, we'll keep going. Let's walk this way. We could cut here.
