Robert Ta argues you're not broken when you feel stuck, just between versions of yourself. He encourages gratitude, small aligned actions, and seeking help when needed to build resilience.
If you're depressed or anxious, if you're feeling shitty, this is for you. You got to spend time in states of agency and gratitude. So zoom out. What are you grateful for? What choices do you get to make every day? Do you put good food into your body? Do you move your body? Do you treat your brain well? Do you treat everybody around you well? Well, if not, those are your own choices. You got to make the right choices that align your actions towards your best self. Take small steps, get out of bed, brush your teeth. If you' depressed, count those as wins. Those are aligned actions too. You don't want to have your teeth rot out in the future. You got to get out of bed, text a friend, ask for help. Help. Asking for help is strength. Vulnerability is powerful. It's not weakness to lean on others because all at some point we all got to lean on somebody. Build yourself up. Lean on those around you to do so and serve them. When the time comes, get after it.
